"Soundtricks" is an ongoing series in which the Whimsical Music crew create Dubs out of their favourite movie soundtracks. 8 episodes of this series form 1 season. At the end of a season might or might not come an album compiling all the episodes into one release.

The first episode of the first season tributes the legendary French comedian Louis de Funès. This remix has been on Sound Tracker's "to do"-list since 1996. Now it's finally done. The "vocal" cut features samples from the movie "La Soupe aux choux". It's both, a funny and sad movie involving two old geezers being tired of life and an alien who finds them from outer space due to their criminally loud farts after eating their favourite meal: cabbage soup. The soundtrack is a beautiful synthesizer early 80s wavepop extravaganza. We remember looking for the record in record shops in the 1990s, but no luck. It has been finally released on green marbled vinyl in 2021. And now there is a dub version as well. We hope you like it.
